The number of Equ-Home has changed in the tables ; why ?
| From November 2001 to August 2002, the rtio use was 10000 kWh/home. This was not right. A better ratio has been fixed at 2500 kWh/home. |

How much for a wind farm ?
| Total costs for a windfarm, including wind turbines and facilities, is today about 1000 € per kW settled, divided between cots wind turbine price (750 €) and site costs with grid connection (250 €). |
| Thus, a 12 MW wind farm will be about 12 millions euros. |
| Annual operation costs are about 1,5 to 2 % of initial investment. |
How
many kWh does a wind farm produce ?
| Wind farm electric production depends on the site wind speed. For a medium wind at 7,5 m/s, a wind farm will produce about 30 Millions kilowattheures in the year (30 GWh). |
Is a wind farm noisy ?
| Noises generated by a wind turbine are twice : mechanical noise and aerodynamic noise. Wind turbine manufacturers have decrease the first one with improved elements and better phone isolation. |
| Aerodynamic noise, due to blade rotation, is all the more so high since the wind is strong. Anyway, below about 8 m/s, generated noise is quite low. Above 8m/s, environment noise, due to trees, relief roughness, etc. covers the wind turbines noise. |

What are the dimensions of wind turbines installed in France ?
| In France today, the larger wind turbine installed has a power of 3 MW for a rotor diameter of 104 m, on a tower of 95 m height. It is an exception in the extente that teh wind farm (Mardyck) is a test for future off-shore wind farms. |
| Generally, wind turbines installed today on shore are between 1,5 and 2,5 MW unit power, with rotors of 70 to 80 m diameters, on tower of 80 m high. |
