After a progression of 377 MW in 2005 of the total wind power installed in France, 18 new wind farms for a total power of 151 MW have been brought into service from the biginning of 2006 :

In order to validate the 2005 and 2010 objectives, it is necessary to study with accuracy the real performances of wind farms already connected to the electrical grid.

It's the purpose of the Totem project :
ToTalisation of wind Energy Measured

Since 2004 the TOTEM project became a reality by the ADEME program "pilot sites ".

ADEME participates in the equipment of 6 wind farms with the ACTEM system developped by TEXSYS, specially designed for the monitoring of wind farms performances. The 1st operational pilot site will be Port Saint Louis du Rhône wind farm, operated by Mistral Energie (may 2005)

TBSP : French wind farms production monitoring
Since Nov 2001, the website www.suivi-eolien.com, developed by the firm TEXSYS for ADEME (Agence de l'environnement et de la maîtrise de l'énergie), has been monitoring the monthly production of French wind farms and following the development of wind farms in France.
